Printed Gel Eye Patches: Three Decisions Before Your Brief

Three decisions to settle before briefing a manufacturer on printed gel eye patches: the build, the shape and print, and the pack.

A printed gel eye patch comes down to three decisions: how the patch is built, what shape and print it carries, and how it is packed. Settling these first gives a manufacturer a clearer brief. ADWIN Korea's product materials show how each choice works.

1. Choose the build

The word "printed" covers more than one structure. These two look different and are built differently.

Choose a printed gel patch when the print itself is the concept. Choose printed hydrogel when you want color and depth inside the gel.

2. Choose the shape and print

ADWIN's materials show under-eye shapes in designs such as watermelon and avocado, and full eye-zone shapes in mask-style designs. Its hydrogel range also lists shapes beyond the standard under-eye patch, and states that gels can be developed in various colors and forms.

Before you commission artwork, ask which shapes already exist and which would be new. If your design uses licensed characters or patterns, confirm your rights to them first.

3. Choose the pack

ADWIN's eye patch materials describe three common formats.

PackContentsBest for
Single pouch1 pairSimple, single use
Multi tray6 pairsA low-commitment first try
JarFull-size jarDaily use

The trade-offs are practical. ADWIN's comparison notes a higher unit cost for single packs than for multi-packs, and lower portability for jars. Confirm which packs suit your chosen build, because not every structure is listed in every format.

Who makes the product

ADWIN Korea was established in 1999. C&Tech, its wholly owned subsidiary, is the manufacturer. ADWIN's materials list CGMP, ISO 22716, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IFS HPC and EVE Vegan. Certification depends on site and scope, so request the current certificates for your specific product.

What to include in your brief

  1. Build: printed gel patch or printed hydrogel
  2. Shape and artwork, including who owns the design
  3. Pack format and count
  4. Target market and its label rules
  5. The documents you need to receive
  6. Your request for minimum order quantity and lead time

FAQ

What is the difference between a printed gel patch and printed hydrogel? The first carries the print on a sheet over the gel. The second holds a printed mesh between hydrogel layers.

Can the design be customized? ADWIN describes its printing gel patches as customizable. Confirm the options for your shape and artwork.

What is the minimum order? It varies by product and specification, so ask for a figure against your brief.
